At Aston Clinton Colts Football Club, the welfare and safety of our players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters are of paramount importance. We are committed to creating a secure and nurturing environment where everyone involved with our club feels safe, valued, and respected. Our safeguarding practices align with the guidelines set by The Football Association (FA) and other relevant governing bodies.

Key Principles:

1. Player Welfare: The well-being of our players is our top priority. We are dedicated to promoting their physical, emotional, and social development while safeguarding them from harm.
2. Inclusive Environment: Aston Clinton Colts is an inclusive club that values diversity and strives to create an environment where everyone feels welcome regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or ability.
3. Qualified and Vetted Personnel: All coaches and volunteers undergo necessary background checks, including enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) screenings. Our coaching staff receives appropriate training in safeguarding, first aid, and other relevant areas.
4. Clear Reporting Procedures: We have established clear reporting procedures for anyone with concerns about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled in a confidential and sensitive manner.
5. Code of Conduct: Our club promotes a positive and respectful atmosphere through the implementation of a Code of Conduct for players, coaches, parents, and spectators. This code sets expectations for behavior both on and off the field.
6. Anti-Bullying Policy: We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying in any form. Our club actively promotes an anti-bullying culture where everyone is encouraged to speak up if they witness or experience bullying behavior.
7. Education and Awareness: We provide ongoing education and awareness programs for players, parents, and volunteers to ensure they are informed about safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
8. Designated Safeguarding Officer: Aston Clinton Colts has a designated Safeguarding Officer who serves as a point of contact for any safeguarding concerns. Their role is to ensure the implementation and adherence to safeguarding policies.
